From start to finish Vaca Cove was the ideal spot for our first big family vacation as a family of three. We were welcomed to the property by the owners that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, as well as answer any questions we had about the property and surrounding area.
Once settled into our condo, we felt immediately at home. We jumped into our swimsuits and hit the pool. We enjoyed relaxing and playing with our two year old, the shallow end of the pool was perfect for playing and relaxing with plenty of room to spread out. The small beach located by the pool was a hit for our son, and even has some nice lounge chairs for the adults to relax.
The condos are nicely equipped, beautifully decorated, extremely clean and roomy enough for a couple families. Our family enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, and wish we could have taken it home with us!
One of our favorite parts of Vaca Cove was the close proximately to everything including shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, Sombrero Beach and the Turtle Hospital. Our condo was only a little over an hour from Key West, which we took advantage of as a day trip. We also enjoyed the gem of a coffee shop and art gallery located right next to the property.
The boating and fishing accommodations at this resort are first-rate with the newly repaired large boat dock (from Irma damage), fish cleaning stations and plenty of parking . Marathon is the Sport Fishing Capital of the world, take advantage!
Our family cannot wait to visit Marathon and Vaca Cove again soon. The ease of the location, friendly atmosphere and accommodations perfectly represent what the Keys are all about, having a laid back and relaxing time! The Florida Keys and Marathon are back! Go enjoy!
