We shared two homes at Vaca Cove with four other couples in February.  It was a great getaway with friends.  Vaca Cove is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the pool and the kayaks or just sit on the porch and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.  The homes are roomy and equipped with everything we needed – the guys made an awesome steak and seafood dinner for Valentines Day!   Each couple had plenty of space to have their privacy and we enjoyed conversation, games and lots of laughs in the common areas and porches.   An array of activities, restaurants and shops are close by.  We made a day trip to Key West and ended the day with a sunset schooner sail.  Highly recommend!  Vaca Cove was a wonderful “home base” for our week in Florida.

We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful 10 days at Vaca Cove in February 2022. Escaping the single-digit Midwest winter temps to enjoy the consistent 75-80 degree sunny days by the spacious pool was perfect. While sipping our favorite refreshments on the balcony we overlooked the majestic blue waters of the bay which were surrounded by beautiful lush green mangroves. Speaking of the mangroves, we enjoyed using the provided kayaks to leisurely paddle around and soak in the scenery both in and out of the water. The units themselves have everything you need to immediately start enjoying your time upon arrival. They are spacious, modern, freshly painted, and very comfortable. The owners also from the Midwest, have put a special touch on each unit and the property itself when they developed it in 2016. If you need to stay connected with work while you are there, the internet speed and bandwidth are very dependable. There is so much to do, see and visit around the area as well. Vaca Cove is well-positioned in the heart of it all so you do not have to travel far for anything. Don’t want to go out to dinner, throw some fish or a burger on the gas grill and use the fully equipped kitchen. Bottom line? Just come here and smile! You deserve it.

My husband and I didn’t know what we were missing before we took our first trip to the Florida Keys. Vaca Cove was the ideal setting for us. In the midst of a cold Midwest winter, we escaped to the warm days and beautiful sunsets of Marathon. Around the pool, we met guests ranging from a young MN couple just back from sky diving to a retired Scottish couple who loved to bask in the warmth of the sun all afternoon. We took a short walk to enjoy the food and ambiance of The Island Fish Company and Tiki Bar. Be sure to order the kaboom shrimp appetizer! We even took a leisurely bike ride to Sunset Park for the island’s unique sunset ritual. Our residence was freshly painted in island blues and the kitchen supplies were far better in comparison to our stays in other rental homes. You really can’t go wrong by choosing Vaca Cove. Like the Scottish couple said when we arrived at the pool on our first day, “Welcome to paradise.”

Great place, though there are other buildings nearby, it still feels like your own place. Great spot to bring a boat, right next to the Vaca Cut to go either bay side or ocean side. About 2 miles to the Marathon Sandbar on the Atlantic side just off Curry Hammock State Park.

Our family of six stayed for the week of Thanksgiving. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, storage containers, and utensils. The dock provides deep water – we had our 32-foot boat. It is a good setup. There are plenty of bath towels as well as pool towels. The washer and dryer are full-sized. We had a great week and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a week in September 2021 while in the Keys getting married. From the beginning, our hosts were amazing to work with and had great communication. The rates were very reasonable for a waterfront location and upon arrival, it met all expectations. The property was very well kept and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The pool, hot tub, and tiki bar were great to relax in and the views of the bay were beautiful. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and being in the center of the Keys was perfect. We all can’t wait to come back again and stay here in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was nice and very clean. Had everything we needed for our group of 3 couples. Plenty of room to spread out or enjoy time together. The weather was a little chilly for us to enjoy the pool, but we used the hot tub just about every night. We were able to tie up our rental boat – dock was very nice. The town was nice too- lots of great restaurants, bike/walking trails, great fishing. Our group plans to come again and will likely stay at this property again!

What a wonderful vacation! We just love the Florida Keys and enjoyed all of the amenities of this property. It was very spacious and comfortable. The waterfront property was perfect, as we brought our own boat and 2 jet skis that we could park right on the property. It was a short ride out to the Atlantic or the gulf side for fishing, snorkeling, and just riding around. The kitchen was well-stocked. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles and trailers. The location was perfect, being only about an hour from Key West, and right next to Islamorada. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

The accommodations were perfect for my family. The house was clean, roomie and provided almost everything you could possibly need for a week. I would recommend bringing toilet paper and tall kitchen trash bags. My family enjoyed the jacuzzi, grilling, going to the pool, and the convenience of having our boat tied up near our unit made this rental unbeatable. We splurged on this vacation and it was worth it!!
